SnoViz is a trade name of Kiratli Ventures LLC, a Colorado limited liability company, and “SnoViz”, “we” and “us” mean that company. The terms are short because the service is simple: we watch Colorado snow and tell you when it is worth driving up.

SMS program terms: SnoViz Powder Alerts
Program name: SnoViz Powder Alerts, sent by SnoViz (SnoViz is a trade name of Kiratli Ventures LLC).
What you get: recurring automated text messages on Colorado powder days: a forecast the evening before and a recap the morning of, each with the statewide snow figures, a link to the snow dashboard and any lift-ticket or lodging deals our partners are offering for that storm. A confirmation text when you sign up, and a reply when you text HELP, STOP or START.
Message frequency: Msg frequency varies (up to ~4 msgs/week in season). Alerts are triggered by snowfall, so you may get none in a dry week and several during a big storm cycle, never more than one evening and one morning text per day. Most weeks outside ski season you will get nothing.
Cost: the program is free. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
Help: reply HELP or INFO to any message, or email dylan@snoviz.com.
Cancel: reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any message. You will be unsubscribed at once and receive one confirmation text, then nothing more. Reply START to resubscribe.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How you join
The only way into the program is the signup form on snoviz.com. You enter your mobile number and your email address, see your region (Colorado) and tick an unticked box next to the consent statement; the Terms and Privacy Policy are linked right beneath it. We do not add numbers from lists, from partners or from anywhere else, and consent is never a condition of buying anything.
Your email address is required. We send one welcome email when you sign up, with no deals or promotions in it. We may occasionally email you about SnoViz itself (a change to the service or to these terms, or a problem with your subscription), always with an unsubscribe link. We do not send powder alerts, newsletters or partner deals by email. The “Stop all SnoViz messages” link at the bottom of the welcome email ends texts and email together in one click; or email dylan@snoviz.com. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Your number and your privacy
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we store and who processes it.
What SnoViz is
SnoViz publishes snowfall figures for Colorado ski resorts and sends statewide alerts on powder days. The figures come from resort snow reports, mountain weather stations and weather models, each labelled with its source type and report time. SnoViz is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any resort.
Snow data is information, not a promise
Mountain weather changes fast and every source we use has error bars. A number on SnoViz, or an alert from us, means a source reported it, not that you will find it on the hill. Before you drive, check the resort’s own report, the road conditions on CDOT’s cotrip.org and the weather. You are responsible for your own decisions about travel and skiing, and for your own safety on the road and on the mountain.
Deals and promo codes
Deals we surface are offered by resorts, lodging and other partners, not by SnoViz, and are subject to the partner’s own terms, availability, blackout dates and expiry. A promo code in an alert is passed along as the partner gave it to us. If a partner declines a code, that is between you and the partner; tell us at dylan@snoviz.com and we will chase it, but we cannot guarantee any price.
Acceptable use
- Sign up only with contact details that are yours, or that you are authorised to use.
- Do not scrape, overload or probe the site or its API beyond ordinary personal use.
- Do not use SnoViz to resell, republish or redistribute alerts or data as a service.
We may suspend or remove subscriptions that break these rules or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or abusive.
Our content
The SnoViz name, site design, text and code are ours. Snow figures belong to the sources that published them; we attribute and link to them. You may share links and screenshots of SnoViz freely.
Disclaimers and liability
SnoViz is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that the site or alerts will be accurate, timely, uninterrupted or error-free, or that a text will be delivered. To the fullest extent the law allows, SnoViz and the people behind it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on an alert, including a wasted drive, a missed powder day, a road closure or an injury. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and ending the service
We may change these terms or the service. We update the date at the top when we do, and we will email you about changes that materially affect your subscription. You may stop using SnoViz at any time: reply STOP to end texts, use the “Stop all SnoViz messages” link in your welcome email to end everything, or emaildylan@snoviz.com to delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
